SOLD……A novelty globe travelling inkwell. c1900A metal inkwell with paper segments creating a novelty globe. Inside there is a glass inkwell with a sprung cover, a fixed brush (nib wipe?) and an extending dip pen. The bottom of the globe is ink stained and it has a few paper losses where the lid and base meet but otherwise is in pretty good condition. The pen holder had lost its screw in nib section and a makeshift end now replaces it. 6. 5 cm in diameter (2. 5 inches) Stock no. KE37

There is a suspension ring so it could be worn on a chain as a pendant

The binoculars measure 10 x 5

The booklet is titled -'Homoeopathic Manual Containing hints for Domestic Practice

The bobbin is in good condition with no damage and it is easy to read but the colouring has faded

Close up there are rows of honeycomb patterned fawn threads through which the silks appear to be woven

The engraving is still quite sharp and well defined and there are no splits or solder

A pressed metal box in the shape of Shakespeare's House in Stratford on Avon

The four packet holders move forward and are revealed when the back sections are pulled down

The base has a tiny loop of beads in lieu of a tassel

It is in good condition with no damage to the pearl

The first printed page is titled 'The Royal Repository or Picturesque Pocket Diary' and in Roman numerals MDCCCVII / 1807
