The watch chain is designed for the gentleman's pocket watch which would have sat in his top waist coat pocket. The chain has lion hallmarks on each link on the chain indicating the piece is 'sterling silver'. The t bar is hallmarked with the word 'SILVER'. The clip has the markings 'MP', most likely the makers mark alongside a dragon and the letter 'W'. The letter 'W' indicated the pieces dates back
