Antique Victorian paste pendant, sterling silverA mesmerising antique Victorian era paste pendant. It is a large oval cut clear paste, the paste has a lovely faceted cut giving it a light twinkle and glint on movement. It is housed in a sterling silver frame and claw set with an integral silver bale, ready to hang from your favourite antique chain, this would look great paired with a nice long chain. Marks and era: Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, Victorian era, c1890s. Condition: Good used

it has a fine trace link white gold chain and the Y drop starts at a cool and creamy cultured pearl

the name lava cameo was given to the Jewellery as a promotional tool by the Italian carvers and creators

not very visible until closely inspecting

diamond is a later replacement

it is also known unsurprisingly as rainbow glass

A very fine piece this would make for a beautiful gift

this was once a three strand gold albertina chain that has an added 9ct gold

Amethyst is approx 10mm x 9mm x 7mm

The gold has rosey tones with some yellow gold flashes in it

it is fully hallmarked

The front is claw set with a lovely rich orangey red oval sardonyx with a white layer on top
