Gene Krupa and His Orchestra was released on Columbia Records in 1947 on a 78 rpm four disc set. Krupa (1909 1973) was one of the premiere jazz drummers from the 1930s thru the 1950s a brilliant player and master showman. He starred with the legendary Benny Goodman Orchestra in the late 1930s, and later fronted his own band featuring
