Hand-Thrown Stoneware Vase (8.5in/22cm)This one of a kind vase debuted at Peter Speliopoulos first solo show at Les Ateliers Courbet in New York. Titled Archaeos, the presentation was rooted in ideas of antiquity and excavation, with eroded surfaces, organic shapes and finger marks echoing the passage of time. Each piece is hand thrown, slipped, glazed and signed by Peter, while each cracked layer is created via the application of sodium silicate that dries to a ruptured finish.
