Frank Cornelissen, Terre Siciliane Bianco Munjebel VaFrank Cornelissen is expanding his portfolio to include white wines, and this is one of his latest creations. Made from a blend of Carricante and Grecanico Dorato (on their original roots), the 2021 Munjebel Bianco VA shows a dark golden color with copper highlights. It has the aromas you'd expect of a natural wine, with candied orange and butterscotch over a medium texture with tannic bite to close. Fruit comes from the Tartaraci vineyard at 1,000

The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity

There is plenty of concentration to the very serious and almost painfully intense broad-shouldered flavors that display excellent precision on the austere

A brooding but wonderfully fresh nose mingles notes of various red berries

There is better mid-palate volume and richness to the medium-bodied flavors that deliver better depth and persistence on the moderately austere and firmer finale
