Olives are hardy and frost resistant to -15C without the need to fleece - they actually need at least three months a year of cold weather to flower and fruit

I bring them into the greenhouse over winter where they continue to grow and flower prolifically during winter - I pinch out these flowers

Fully hardy in just about all of the UK but can be damaged by late frosts so is suited to less exposed areas
