SOLD.................A 'blind filigree' silver thread waxer. c 1840A silver thread waxer in the 'blind filigree' pattern. The top disc is slightly convex and the base flat so it will sit upright in a sewing box. The wax is well used and is the original. In excellent condition. 2 cm in diameter 1. 5 cm high Stock no. JZ14

The shield is that found on the 1814 pattern Household Cavalry sword -the type used on the battlefield at Waterloo

The pearl is cut with horizontal lines and the silver spring cover with triple diagonals

In excellent condition- no damage to the bone

It is embossed on the base with the words-

In good condition with some tarnish and wear

A silver propelling pencil with a decoratively engraved barrel and red stone seal

'Wm Stretton Born May 29 1834 Died March 4th 1868

One side has his face in profile with the words -

A 19th century carved needle case opening at one end for needles and bodkins

In good condition- no damage but with some light needle scratching

It unscrews to reveal space for a thimble which would also have been wooden

( the first few letters are absent ) They sandwich a purple velvet padded cushion
