Antique star mourning ring, 15ct gold, pearlA beautiful antique, late Victorian era mourning ringIt has a domed bombe shape face set with an array of creamy pearls to form a star shape in the centre. The ring has decorative cut out shoulders and a smooth tapering gold band. To the verso there is a glazed panel with a small silk round, this can be removed to store a small lock of hair or tiny mementoIt appears to have been enamelled at some stage with some remnants very slightly visible around

There is a diamond chip set either side of the central panel leading to the attractive scrolling shoulders

some dings to the silver top and a little crushing on the cap rim
