SOLD………….'The Loss of the Royal George'- a book detailing the sinking in 1782.A small 80 page book titled 'The Loss of the Royal George'. 1840 There are many relics from this ship to be found in antique shops sewing tools, paper knives etc. This book tells its story from its sinking in 1782 using eye witness accounts to its recovery in 1840 when all the relics were created from its timber and copper. Condition The original cover had gone so it has been rebound. It has a vertical crease on the title page and a contemporary ink

The 45 gaming pieces are carved from mutton bone into various shapes including a bird and a trumpet plus a few are painted
The lid is set with a gilt 3D metal flower basket with coloured highlights
5 cm ( 7 x 4 inches )
A good quality pierced and engraved silver gilt belt buckle
The silver trim is in good order
The interior has general wear to the edges of the green silk
The silver is hall marked for Birmingham 1901 maker L&S
10 cm in length ( 4 inches )
In excellent condition- just a few small losses
The engraved silver blade is hall marked Birmingham 1854 maker CW & Co
