SOLD………..A decorative unmarked silver thimble. c1860-1870An unusual silver thimble with bright cut decoration above two band of further decoration plus a wavy edged rim. It's English and dates to c1860 1870. NB. English silver thimbles tend to be unmarked until the late 1880s. Just under 2. 5cm in height Finger aperture 13mm In excellent condition no holes or repairs. Stock no. G30

It is probably taken from a classical story which I don't recognise but depicts a lady

It is finely made and in excellent condition with a cut steel slider and beaded tassels

The silver is gilded inside and is hall marked Birmingham 1901 makers A & L Ld (Adie and Lovekin)
