in fact it’s borderline massive and not surprisingly it’s going to need a very long time to arrive at its full potential

all wrapped in a bitter pit fruit finale that offers impressive persistence

but David Powell delivers some remarkable reds and whites at prices that are more than fair for the quality in the bottle

This is very Corton in character and should age accordingly

The palate is well balanced with slightly firm tannin

opulent wine that hides its structure under all the fruit

but not for this vertical)

spices and graphite on the nose

eventually unfurling to offer subtle scents of fresh pineapple

white pepper and touches of clove develop with aeration

I would like to see a bit more of a velvet edge to the texture
