Georgian Sun & Moon BroochA remarkable Georgian sun and crescent moon brooch dating from the latter half of the 18th century, circa 1770. It's set with glistening rose cut diamonds and features a fringe of baroque pearls dangling beneath the outer side of the crescent. Era: Georgian, circa 1770 Size: 3. 9cm by 4. 4cm Stones: Rose Cut Diamonds (3. 8ct total spread) and Baroque Pearls Marks: None present, tested as 18ct gold Condition: Great antique condition

Clips closed securely but the bottom rim isn't flush

Set in a purpose built 18 carat gold brooch mount with double rope-twist border - a simple nod to the Etruscan Revivalist movement popular at the time
