Laser Alexandrite Jewelry (Fluorescent Lab Alex, Chromium Chrysoberyl)These laser alexandrites are set in 925 sterling silver. These are genuine, lab created alexandrite gems faceted from crystals grown for lasers. Note the camera can't capture the true color! There is a red glow to these stones thanks to their strong fluorescence but it doesn't dominate like it does in the photos. It is what we call a 'lumogarnet' - a synthetic garnet with incredible fluorescence

Like all YAG this material is ideal for jewelry with a high hardness of 8

Some stones also have colorless zones

As an experimental and extremely difficult-to-grow material it comes at a high premium but I'm extremely glad we've had a chance to be involved--this is the most gorgeous material I've ever worked with

Eggs are currently available in purple laser garnet (nd:YAG)

This is lab created yellow-orange lithium tantalate facet rough

They come in violet and gold (depending on the ratio of Ce to Nd) and have variable fluorescence including yellow
