FELTON ROAD "BANNOCKBURN" Chardonnay 2021 (750ml)Tasting Note: Pure grapefruit zest, citrus, stonefruit kernel, a hint of roasted nuts, all bound in enlivening acid. The satisfying palate weight carries the acid completely without effort; it just shrugs it off. Very clean, already showing some length, which will no doubt build gracefully. A pleasing absence of oak notesin fact a pleasing absence of everything but essence of Chardonnay. A definite candidate for benchmark

Fine and engaging with a persistent

grilled vegetables with mild olive oil

Pale straw with lime hues

but certainly no hurry here

a Riserva-level Chianti Rfina crafted from the grapes of the estate's best vineyard

tobacco and chocolate

blackcurrant leaf and passion fruit

toothsome tannins and a long

wood oil and mountain herb aromas

promising plenty of further life if cellared

a characteristic which is distinctively evident in wines from McLaren Vale

Then wave after wave of dark fruits from liquorice
