Description
Antique “Strawberry Red” Philite Scales 5" x 1 1/2" x .19Philite is very similar to Bakelite, just manufactured by the Philips company. Use sharp tools belts to prevent chipping. Try to keep cool during grinding to prevent movement as this material has no substrate. It is completely resin based. If it does however move or bend at all just warm it back up and clamp it flat. Polishes like glass! Dimensions: 5 x 1 1 2" x . 19" each (set of 2 scales)
Philite is very similar to Bakelite

This material was made in the late 90s/early 2000s and found recently in the dark depths of the Current Composites factory
