ThiostreptonThiostrepton is a cyclic peptide antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces azureus. It targets a wide variety of gram negative and gram positive bacteria, especially those causing skin infections. It has been used as a marker for selection of recombinant Streptomyces cultures.
