Women's Irregular Hand-Stitched Silk Robe | Size: SSara Sakanakas way of unpicking the past to sew new seeds for the future is communicated through one of a kind pieces hand stitched from Japanese silk kimonos. Given the limited width of these textiles measuring at just 14 inches she must unravel them before skilfully engineering to create a cohesive whole. This robe, which is stitched, numbered and signed by hand, takes approximately 80 hours to make, utilising fabric sourced from 1930s 1960s Japan.
