Grand Tour Venice Micromosaic BroochAn unusual 19th century micromosaic brooch depicting the Doge's Palace in Venice, complete with two of the city's iconic gondollas passing by. The detail is exceptional, with wonderfully intricate architectural detail and striking use of perspective. All done with micro tesserae: tiny piece of coloured glass set over a black background. It dates from the mid 19th century, set into an 18 carat gold brooch mount with French control marks for 18ct gold.

This ring is set with the nine stones mentioned above arranged in three diagonal "bands" traversing the face
