FEW Spirits Breaking Bourbon "The Strong-The Proud-The FEW" Single Barrel Bourbon WhiskeyWe went into this tasting not knowing what to expect. We tasted FEW Bourbon quite a long time ago and found it quite rough around the edges. But we believed it was worth revisiting and wanted to see what the single barrels had to offer. Boy, are we glad we did! Aged in 15 gallon barrels for at least 3 years, all three samples offered a fairly robust flavor profile. However, the one we liked the most offered quite a bit more oomph than the others,

Single Rack Black has a distinctly traditional bourbon mash bill of corn

16% NY corn and 12% malted barley

the guru of natural winemaking on Mount Etna

then blended and aged again for at least two months

Elegant and long meaty palate with refined tannin and rich structure which stays on ripe fruit
