SOLD…….A dome topped Continental silver thimble. 19thcA silver thimble with an unidentified, faint silver mark on the rim possibly French but certainly Continental. The top is domed which would date it to pre 1840. There is one hole in the top but is otherwise undamaged and is quite weighty. 2. 5cm tall Diameter across the base including the rim 18mm Stock no. The black lines are inked on and some areas rubbed through use

There is some simple black flecking around the top and around the print

There is a little damage to the points at the bottom of the line holders but it has survived in remarkable condition considering its age and use
