Fontaine Gagnard, Batard Montrachet(from a . 30 ha parcel in Chassagne). A cooler and very pure nose freely offers up its aromas of spice, various citrus elements and ripe white fleshed fruit, in particular white peach. The delicious, intense and beautifully textured medium weight plus flavors possess focused power and fine detail on the balanced and strikingly long finish. This is a Btard of finesse and understated rather than overt muscle and imposing size and weight.

This is also most impressive though note that patience will be required

The 2010 Redigaffi is even more impressive with seamless integration of ripe fruit and oak spice that meet each other perfectly in the middle

Discreet but perceptible wood sets off pretty and nicely layered aromas of red currant
