Antique Whitby Jet mourning locket, hairworkAn attractive antique, Victorian era Whitby jet mourning locket. Smooth high polished oval jet locket with a gold plated rim to the reverse, within containing a lock of dark blonde plaited hair. It has a jet bale and a small piece of ribbon attached to through the top of the bale. The locket does not have any glazing covering the hairwork, it would have had a glass panel but this is missing. Shown on a contemporary velvet choker necklace, it does not
