Vincent Dauvissat, Chablis Vaillons

Vincent Dauvissat, Chablis Vaillons(from one third Beugnons and two thirds Chtains). An admirably pure nose offers up aromas of various white fleshed fruit, mineral reduction and lemon rind. There is reasonable volume and richness to the caressing yet punchy and powerful flavors that brim with minerality that carries over to the tension filled, dry and balanced finale. This isnt super dense though I very much like the intensity and overall, this is a wine that should reward mid term

Riserva Rüncot opens to a beautifully tempered and expressive bouquet that exhibits elements of wild berry

the 1999 is somewhat one-dimensional and not likely to improve considerably from here

Sudden dryness on the end but this is delightfully lively

Black cherry and blackcurrant fruit with some licorice and truffle are all present in this dense purple wine
