North Pole LettuceMore and more home gardeners are learning to grow year round. Having fresh green grub in the winter is an achievable treat with the right cold hardy varieties. This lime green lettuce can be grown in the fall and survive winter with minimal cover. As the light decreases and cold increases it pretty much stops growing but manages to recover, and then thrive on the backside of winter.

These can also be used in greenhouses and high tunnels or under taller low hoops that hold plastic
