Antique micro mosaic brooch, grand tour, VaticanAn attractive and highly detailed antique micro mosaic brooch. Early 19th century it depicts a finely done image of St Peter's Square, The Vatican, typical of the grand tour genre of jewellery and curios. The tessarae is set into a smooth black onyx cabochon and this is further set into a claw silver brooch mount with a long pin and C type clasp. The mount is open backed and has a long pin that protrudes from the brooch. Good condition overall,
