A birch bark box. Scandinavian. 19th century.An oval snuff box made from the stripped bark of birch trees. The lid lifts off and is decorated with red leather and it has a leather loop as a handle. The base has a recess also inset with red leather. Probably Swedish. 19th century. 8. 5 x 4 x 4cm 3. 25 x 1. 5 x 1. 5 inches Stock no. HM22
The two tooled leather cases are stamped 'Ink' on the one and 'Light' on the other
