Francois Lamarche, Echezeaux(from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas, Les Cruots and Clos St. Denis). A very attractive blend of black fruit, Vosne spice and a moderate dollop of new wood introduces rich, full and notably ripe flavors that possess good volume and a velvety, indeed almost suave finish that cannot disguise the impressive power and robust structure. This will require the better part of a decade to fully resolve the slightly rustic tannic spine. 90 2014+

This is a classic Brunello from an iconic vintage

The wine has a beautiful entry to the palate

This is most impressive as it manages to deliver stunning intensity and depth of material without any undue heaviness

While Chave has not made their special cuvee

offering impressively concentrated and sharply delineated flavors of sappy red fruits

with results that appear silky and almost glossy

fig and clove-scented bouquet with more freshness than the whole of Pomerol combined
