big and ripe wine that is regularly 15% alcohol

there is excellent energy and density to the powerful and muscular broad-shouldered flavors that possess a healthy level of the same on the austere

Lovely juice and this is really quite classy

A lightly spicy but notably earthy nose of a ripe and very fresh array of mixed red berries gives way to rich and utterly delicious flavors that possess excellent volume before terminating in a seductively textured finish that is shaped by dense but fine tannins

The wine's freshness is still apparent so that the balance with maturity is just right

A wonderfully spicy and solidly complex nose offers up aromas of both red and dark currant aromas that evidence a touch of the sauvage

The Lazzarito is still the Barolo that spends the longest number of months in French oak following the malolactic fermentation

though this specific bottle seemed a little more evolved compared to other bottles of this wine I have tried recently

2012 should be a terrific vintage for this storied wine though note that plenty of patience will be required as I doubt that this will drink especially well young

whereas on the palate this is the quintessence of finesse

but the plummy fruit and spicy wood appear to be nicely integrated
