Chablisienne, Chablis Montee Tonnerre(from all 4 climats though the blend is mostly from Chapelot). Here too a discreet application of wood sets off the floral suffused nose that is liberally laced with notes of oyster shell, iodine and lemon rind nuances. There is a lovely sense of refinement to the restrained and lightly mineral inflected flavors that somewhat curiously come up a bit short. This may well come together but I found this a bit awkward in its current form. With that said,

There is good volume and richness to the solidly well-concentrated and appealingly textured medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent depth and length on the quite firmly structured finish where a touch of dryness appears that I suspect is attributable to the recent bottling rather than under ripe tannins

This is a well muscled effort that will require most of a decade to be at its best

but production is more limited

This could use better depth but it’s already very pretty and is worth considering for its level
