A pair of paste set Georgian silver shoe buckles. c1800A good pair of silver shoe buckles set with 'black spot' Georgian pastes. All the pastes are present, in good condition and are the originals. There are no hall marks which isn't unusual but they date to the late 18th early 19th century. 5 x 5cm 1. 5cm rise In excellent condition. Stock no. LK20
It has some scratching on the face and as the winding crown is missing I can only assume it is no longer working and may not be repairable

It came from the tray in a Palais Royal sewing box dating to c1800-1820

There are three lids one at the back for wafers and two smaller ones which would have contained spare nibs
