These hairstring skirts are worn by Pintupi women in their ceremonies when they reaffirm these mythological stories through dance and song

then moved to Watiyawanu (Mt Liebig approx 325 km west of Alice Springs) and today still spends most of her time there with her well-known artist husband Norman Kelly

hunting and living off the land as the Aboriginal people did for thousands of years before her
