BaryteWithout a doubt, one of the most popular non sulfide or non carbonate species from the Eagle mine are the now hard to find, golden Baryte crystals. This piece hosts a few dozen, incredibly glassy, very sharp, well formed, rich golden color crystals with excellent gemminess transparency and somewhat blocky form. The overall quality is excellent with no real damage to speak of except for one corner of a crystal on the periphery. You dont see these

As far as I know there are only three reported minerals from the locality – all carbonates

This piece is from a find in July of 2007 at the type locality for the species which was originally discovered along the Contacto and San Jose veins in this mine and first described by Sam Gordon and Mark Bandy

This thin elongated piece of Copal arguably has the highest "population density" of insects of any specimen in the lot as there are approximately 100 ambrosia beetles (Platypodidae) and a few midges (Diptera)
