Rare “Campaign" Chess Table, circa 1840An English Campaign Travelling Chess Table or Board, circa 1840 the mahogany and rosewood hinged board box inlaid with boxwood and ebony squares for chess (with peg holes for a travelling chess set), and inset ivory sections for cribbage, raised on a detachable telescopic brass column with tri form base (and splayed feet), 39. 5cm wide, 71cm high (when assembled and the telescopic column extended), together with the original green leather travelling
