Copal / Young Amber with insect inclusionsArguably this piece has the FINEST clarity of any piece in the lot as it's virtually WATER CLEAR throughout and features a wide range of insects including small flies (Diptera), along with parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera) plus one large, winged termite (Isoptera), one large true bug (Heteroptera) and two bark beetles (Scolytinae). Some of my favorite insects are seen in this piece, and it's because of the tremendous gemminess which allows one to clearly

the miner in Bolivia who found the specimens was referring to them as “dientes” (Spanish for teeth)

The rough from which this stone was cut came from a specimen collected by my father

With only a slight rough spot on one crystal

Under UV light

prismatic crystals of Vivianite which are associated with beautifully contrasting golden Childrenite aggregates

and it's not even transparent

and this is a complete "floater"
