Shanghai Rouge RingWhen I travelled to Shanghai, I spotted the red lanterns in an old traditional Chinese teashop, the colourful displays of a fruit market, and stained glass in heritage buildings. These glimpses of vibrant colour, together with the rich reds in the 1990s Chinese film Shanghai Triad, inspired the Shanghai Rouge Ring. I think it captures energy and nostalgic melancholy. The ring is handcrafted from 18k gold, 0. 5ct ruby and a 0. 41ct salt and pepper
