An engraved silver ear spoon / tweezer combo. c1840.A pair of unmarked silver tweezers with ear spoon. The style of the engraving dates it to circa 1840. Just over 7cm in length 7mm across at its widest. In excellent condition. Stock no. LQ18

In excellent condition- no splits but it does have a slight finger pressure indent caused when opening it

The whole piece is metal with the pins fitting in two rows of holes

Inside one page has a tear and another some creases

It should close by slipping a rod through the three leather loops but whatever was originally used is lost

The little label in the middle has the patent details- 'Patented in Great Britain May 7th 1857 and in the United States April 19th 1859

Bridgeport

A silver bodkin which would have filled one of the vertical slots in an 18thc etui along with scissors

It is in excellent order with no damage and with its original spangle including square cut glass beads

Right in the centre is the initial W with flowers either side
