Description
Saint Cosme, Gigondas ClauxLiquorice, cinnamon and strawberry, taking on some tobacco leaf now and vanilla. Oak is quite marked still. Rounded but not overly fat. Juicy, well balanced. Nice saline kick on the finish. Oak however is a little distracting on this vintage.

While it lacks the weight of the top wines from the vintage

with pungent
Translucent shaded ruby
displaying intense dark berry and floral scents complicated by suggestions of olive
smoke and spices on the finish
Still a note of purple
And tannins are still much in evidence but there is a certain sleekness
This is not my favorite style of Pomerol due to its hard edges
This is the first year with puncheons (no hogsheads) as well
