Features the kettle, stand and spirit burner with ebonised handle and finial. The 1906 engraving is from the Officers of the 76th Punjabes (this spelling of Punjabis suggesting that the engraving was possibly done in India) to an E M Rettie. The crest and motto is for Raitt, from which Rettie derives. The 76th Punjabis were an infantry regiment, raised in 1776 as the 16th Carnatic Battalion and

symbols on the base to show the year an item was made

Flat/usable surface diameter is about 20 cm

The box is free of dents and creases

Condition is very good with moderate to high surface wear

Issued in 1999 in a limited edition of 6000

The 3rd Cavalry Regiment was formed in the early 1920's  from the 7th Irregular Cavalry (5th Cavalry) and the 17th Irregular Cavalry (8th Lancers)

Fully hallmarked with the Canyon French silver hallmarks

presumably from salt staining

The crest to the main body is that of the Baines family of York
