Moon of Bethlehem Hand-Embroidered Cotton Cushion (14in/36cm)Claudia Martinez Mansell founded Kissweh to create fair working opportunities for those in the refugee camps of Lebanon and Syria. The Moon of Bethlehem cushion is named after the motif used liberally throughout traditional womenswear. Its embroidered entirely by hand over the course of two to three weeks and complete with a tonal zipper. The craftswomen combine the colours differently every time, making each piece one of a kind.

Its bevelled edges are inspired by Art Deco glassware

The bouclé look recalls the mythical ram of the Cyclops Polyphemus

as it’s carefully shaped to mimic an outstretched palm

while also being exceptional from a decorative perspective

the tray has been specially treated with a bespoke resin that is water-proof and scratch-proof — a must for any stationery enthusiast
