Purple Audio 5M2 PANTSThe Pants uses a unique dual bobbin input transformer from Cinemag unlike any other. The smooth Gain control helps you dial in the sound you want. If the output level is too high, you can ride the level down with the separate Level control. Pressing the High switch changes the feedback network to provide an insane 78dB of clean gain, a great match for very low output mics. With different Gain, High mode switch, and Level settings the Pants can produce
the LF band on the 551 can be used as either a shelf or a peak filter
