A rare early 19th century wooden knitting sheath.A rosewood knitting sheath in the style of brass ones made in the north of Yorkshire a heart shape with its tail end pointing off to the side. It has a slot in the side to fit over a band at the waist. Dating to the start of the 19th century. 11cm long In excellent condition. Stock no. LM42

The tape starts at number one and the silver is in excellent condition

There are three lids one at the back for wafers and two smaller ones which would have contained spare nibs

decoratively turned and pierced with three windows containing baby bobbins which are also decorated

Both are in good condition -no cracks only minor age related blemishes as seen in the photos

In excellent condition- no damage to the pot and just one counter with a tiny bit missing from the edge ( see photo )

There are no hall marks but it does test as sterling

A three stud stock buckle in silver with assay and maker's marks

There's a gold band top and bottom and a spray of flowers on the reverse

In excellent condition- no damage or repair to case or tools
