This is a view of the countryside with distant hills

I love how they sense the warm healing sun as it rises and moves across the sky

They just hover above the water with their wings reflecting beautiful colours

I sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2015 and started to paint as part of my rehabilitation

rather being alone and reflecting on what is and is not

You can walk barefoot endlessly on beautiful white sand

Each time I whiz past this scene I can’t help but be transfixed to this site no matter what time of year

This painting is very textured and has been built up with a number of layers of paint

the beauty of nature just takes your mind to stillness and wonder

In particularly I love to smell it as part of my sleep ritual

Even the giant hail stones that damaged our car and roof
