Crystal Geode Half with CitrineThis is a half of a crystal geode that I cracked open to reveal the beautifully rich citrine colored natural crystals lining the interior of two of the three chambers. It is common when the multiple chamber geodes are cracked open that only one half survives intact. This geode is from the Crystal Canyon mine in Mexico. I have shaped this piece into a polished freeform art piece suitable for display or it can be core drilled to the appropriate size for your tubing to make a small to medium fountain and a flat bottom can be cut to sit on

a nickname for these is Mexican Coconut

This does sparkle a bit in good light and the crystal growth structure is very appealing

This specimen is approximately 2-1/4” long on a nice piece of matrix that is approximately 5”x3” and is 1/2” thick

It is fully polished with a core of translucent coffee colored botryoidal agate with some hematite inclusions visible in the bots that are cut in the hollow center
