Ballot Millot

Ballot Millot(vinified with ~30% whole clusters). Here the nose is both more expressive and decidedly more floral in character with its aromas of fresh red berries, earth and a hint of the sauvage. There is again fine energy and volume as well as a more refined mouthfeel to the middle weight flavors that exude a bracing minerality on the bitter cherry inflected finale. This could use better depth, but the underlying material appears to be present for that to occur

The 2011 Blanc de Noirs Côte de Béchalin is terrific

mainly by virtue of reactive and courageous vineyard management

The wine is deep into its Golden Years with savory tones of smoked bacon

there are no single vineyard wines

but dont miss a chance to grab some if you can
