Antique French silver snuff box, peace dovesA fine antique French silver snuff box. A table snuff box this is heavily and expertly decorated with bows, swags and flowers around the sides, a light pie crust rim and the image on the lid of two peace doves with an olive branch. A lovely depiction of the two doves and some very fine decoration it is a stand out little box. It has marks for French Maker Ernest Eschwege, Minerva head mark for 950 silver, late 19th century early 20th century.

the body is made from glass and it has the original gilt lined sterling silver beaker bottom

Loaded with pretty rich red garnets with a graduated layered effect leading to the centre with an approx depth of half an inch
