An unusual Britannia standard silver mustard spoon with crest.A silver mustard spoon with an unusual set of hall marks Britannia standard silver (. 958) , lion's head erased for London and date letter for Chester 1907. It was probably made as a replacement mustard spoon in a canteen as it is in the old style and has a crest in the form of a hound. No damage. Just under 10cm in length. ( 3. 75 inches ) Stock no. JJ32

It is stamped CH for Charles Horner

The tools are a pair of folding scissors

There are many relics from this ship to be found in antique shops-sewing tools

The hinged lid is engraved silver with a gold wash finish

English Size 10 which is for a small finger

The pastes are various sizes and all appear to be original

Height 2cm Finger aperture 14mm

The nozzle unscrew showing that the propelling pin for the lead is working

There is no damage although the original varnish finish has a few minor scuffs and there is some staining to the edges of the paper lining of the lid (see photos)

The ebonized base is trimmed on the edge with a gold on black zigzag pattern

A small 80 page book titled 'The Loss of the Royal George'
