Our Marae has since been upgraded and this colour became a strong memory of playing with all my cousins at our Marae and feeling safe and protected

When my Sister first saw this print she said "It makes me think of Arai Te Uru and Āniwaniwa" the kaitiaki (guardians) of the Hokianga harbour - where we are from

The colour turquoise helps to open the lines of communication between the heart and the spoken word
