SOLD...........A silver filigree needle case in the form of a book. c1800A fine English silver needle case made of silver filigree. It is fitted with a little raspberry watered silk 'book', edged with gold thread holding leaves of matching cloth stuck with needles. In excellent condition no damage 5. 5 x 4 cm 2. 25 x 1. 5 inches NB. This type of needle book probably once contained a miniature almanac which when out of date was re purposed. Stock no. JX43

All four boxes have an inlaid rope twist border and a central roundel

The blue one is undamaged and the 'cameo' has a minor chip on the edge at the back which can't be seen when viewed from the front
