Georgian Star Paste EarringsGeorgian earrings set with white paste gemstones cut to resemble twinkling stars, with an unusual arrangement of facets pointed. The stones, resting in 'pie crust' settings with deeply dished backs, are set over foil which bounces light back out through, making them bright and lively. Crafted in sterling silver with 9 carat gold ear wires (later added). They likely started out life as buttons or studs. Era: Georgian, circa 1790 Size: 18. 3mm by 11.
